We left home at 8 this morning - so hard to make sure we weren't forgetting anything! I guess only time will tell. Had a good bye breakfast at the Heritage, then westward-ho. Traffic was light and weather was perfect. We are spending the night in Portneuf (50 kms. west of Quebec City). Much more snow here than at home and much colder, as well.
I wrote a post for Dec. 18th - I can find it, but am not sure how others can. So I will write today's here. After a lovely breakfast and visit with Brenda, we left Ottawa at 10AM. Not early, but great for retirees! One of my objectives for today was to get the Sirius radio up and running in the truck. I did - but only after being put on hold for half an hour! Our drive north and west was beautiful. No sun, but no precipitation either. -5 degrees. There is a fair bit of snow up here, but the roads are bare. After leaving Rolphton, I was in new territory. Brother Bob and family lived there while he was an OPP in Deep River, so I had been there years ago. So seeing places like North Bay was actually exciting for me. Old hat for Gary, however. We are spending the night in Cochrane - a small town, but a welcome one after 9 hours of driving.
Post a comment.
